God

We believe in the only true God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; that these three are one-the Father in the Son, the Son in the Father, and the Holy Spirit are equal and are one God; that this triune God created the heavens and the earth and all that in them is, visible as well as invisible, and furthermore sustains, governs, protects, and supports the same. 

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ; that He is very God and man; that He became incarnate by the power of the Holy Spirit in the Virgin Mary and was born of her; that He is the Savior and Mediator of the whole human race if they with full faith in Him accept the grace available; that this Jesus suffered and died on the cross for us, was buried, arose again on the third day, ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God to intercede for us; and that He shall come again some day to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. 

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, for understanding of spiritual truth, and gives guidance in following God’s will. He gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are saved. 

The Church

We believe the Church is comprised of all Christians throughout the world with Christ as the Head of this universal church. MSC is a local body of believers in Jesus Christ who choose to come together in order to accomplish God’s eternal purposes. 

The Bible

We believe that the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God; that it contains the only true way to our salvation. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and is without error. 

The Salvation Message

We believe that every person is marred by a nature of rebellion and disobedience toward God. The Bible calls this sin. Sin separates us from God and will ultimately require us to be eternally separated from God in hell. We believe that salvation is a free gift and that only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sins’ penalty. 

Christian Practices

We believe that the practices of baptism and the remembrance of the sufferings and death of our Lord Jesus Christ (communion), are to be in use and practiced by all believers. Our local church celebrates communion monthly and offers the opportunity for individuals to follow Christ in baptism on a regular basis.
