Getting married?

Morning Star Church desires to provide a ministry to couples who are planning to be married. Your preparation is important and this information is designed to assist you in making those all important decisions.

We do not make any promises to participate in a wedding until after the first premarital session. We need at least four months of advanced notice prior to the date of your wedding. We will tentatively reserve the date you desire until your first session with the pastor. Preparation is a vital part of your pre-wedding planning.

The pastor will arrange for a trained mentor couple to meet with you five or six times before your wedding and two times in the 12 months following your wedding.

These sessions are designed to help each couple be more prepared for marriage as well as introduce you to a couple with a strong marriage. We use the PREPARE online marriage preparation inventory to help you evaluate both personal and relationship issues prior to marriage. Your cost for scoring this inventory is $35. In addition, you may be asked to purchase one or two books related to significant marriage topics. Click Here to fill out our Premarital Information Form.

The rehearsal is a time for the pastor and wedding party to get to know one another and also to practice for the ceremony. Most rehearsals are scheduled the night before the ceremony and last no more than one hour. All wedding participants are needed at the rehearsal.
